DJ BLACKBEAT (Idowu Obasa)
Idowu Obasa Samuel Raheem popularly known as DJ
blackbeat, was born to the family of Obasa in November 1978.
He attended Ibukun oluwa primary school from 1981 to 1987 after which he moved to Oniwaya
high school, from 1989 to 1995 for his secondary school education. He graduated
from Lagos state polytechnic. Lagos
Dj blackbeat started his career in 1994 but only had the opportunity to play
with cassette tape; He later met a popular dj of that time called dj Timojo at
Agege area of Lagos state which was one of the most respected ever dj in Lagos
and Nigeria, After paying his due for almost seven years with dj Timojo.
Blackbeat has played in several star trek concerts
from 2004 to 2009, peak milk talent hunt, sprite triple slam, clubs and
continues to perform in several other concerts both in Nigeria and abroad.
His mix, scratch and play are wicked when it comes
to using the professional dj set (turntables) he has bag many awards as the
best turntable disc jocker, not included on the earlier list – Samsung NYSC
show – blackbeat still remain one of real djs in the country, when I mean real
